Otago’s Open Access Publishing Agreements 2026
Otago’s open access publishing agreements for 2026 have now been confirmed, including agreements with the four largest international academic publishers, securing improved and more comprehensive open access arrangements from 2026.
- Detailed information, including eligible journal lists, is available via the CAUL Read and Publish Guide
- For publishing support or advice, staff are encouraged to consult the University of Otago Strategic Publishing Guide or contact their Subject Librarian
- As negotiations with additional publishers' progress throughout the year, updates will continue to be shared via the Publisher Negotiations SharePoint site
OUR Archive (University of Otago Institutional Repository) is also an avenue for Open Access publishing, which is free of charge and meets MBIE’s Open Research Policy requirements.
