The concept for the Centre for Creation Care was sparked by a 2023 Wilberforce Faith and Belief survey that reported 37% of New Zealand Christians cite “state of the planet” as their number one concern.
Across the globe, many institutions are embracing sustainability as central to continued human flourishing and survival as a species. Globally, churches are waking up, and eco-theology is gaining momentum in academia.
Our Theology Programme has a strong track record of teaching and research in this area. The Centre for Creation Care has already attracted significant investment from a network of donors to support its first five years, and now we are seeking support to ensure the Centre for Creation Care can be a permanent fixture
