Genetics on the GO is a resource created by the Genetics Otago Research Centre in collaboration with the genetics programme at the University of Otago. Our aim is to engage young minds with Genetics and to do this we have developed a range of resources that include information, worksheets and activities or experiments that will teach and inspire geneticists of the future.

Otago Medical School 150th Anniversary Fund

In recognition of Otago Medical School’s 150th anniversary celebrations, an Anniversary Fund has been established to continue Otago’s legacy of excellence in medical education. The OMS Fund will support faculty and students and includes but is not limited to scholarships, hardship support, travel grants, teaching and/or relevant research equipment, summer studentships, and/or relevant support for teaching staff.

Hereditary Diffuse Gastric Cancer (HDGC) Endowment

HDGC is an inherited cancer syndrome that was first identified in Aotearoa New Zealand but is now known to affect hundreds of families worldwide. HDGC family members have a very high risk of developing stomach cancer and breast cancer from a young age. Otago's research into HDGC aims to improve the treatment and care of these high-risk families.
