With the celebration of 150 years of the Otago Medical School on the horizon (29 May-2 June 2025), we thought we'd bring a couple of well-known alumni faces from the past back to life with colour. Dr Margaret Cruickshank was the first woman doctor registered in New Zealand. Dr Emily Siedeberg was the University of Otago and also New Zealand's first female medical graduate. Below are some photographs of Dr Margaret Cruickshank and Dr Emily Siedeberg that we have colourised using a wee bit of technical magic.
