Inaugural Professorial Lectures (IPLs) are special public lectures given by academic staff who have been recently promoted to professor, the highest position they can achieve.

At their IPL, a new professor recounts their academic journey and the research that has shaped their career, while also providing an opportunity for colleagues, collaborators, students, whānau and the general public to celebrate their success.

If you see an advertisement for an IPL, please do come along, we would love to see you.

Here are recordings of IPLs given by current and former professors of the Biochemistry Department.
