At the end of May we said goodbye and best of luck to Robyn Thomson. She was farewelled at an afternoon tea on the 30th May, her penultimate day at work.

Robyn joined the Department in 2004 as a Department secretary, and over the last 14 years she has been a very important member of the team that keeps the Department "ticking over". In addition to her official duties of postgraduate administrator and student support, Robyn has done everything from greeting visitors to the Department, orienting new staff and students, planning and booking staff travel arrangements, to doing almost all the actual work involved in hosting the graduation functions we hold to welcome friends and family of our graduands.

We will all miss Robyn a great deal, and wish her all the best for her future in the warmer climes of Queensland, Australia.
