Molecular biology and genetics research in the Christchurch Heart Institute

Molecular Endocrinology Laboratory group photo

Research Focus

The Molecular Biology Laboratory is investigating genetic variants that affect an individual’s susceptibility to the development and progression of coronary heart disease and heart failure.

The laboratory is also investigating how genes influence the underlying pathology of heart disease in mouse models of heart disease.
