Research

Tom is completing his PhD under the supervision of Associate Professor Martin de Bock (Department of Paediatrics). His research investigates automated insulin delivery systems in type 1 and type 2 diabetes, with a specific focus on novel 'fully closed-loop' systems that do not require meal announcement. He has also previously published research in general endocrinology.

Additional details

Tom Wilkinson is an adult endocrinologist. He is an Otago alumnus, graduating with MBChB in 2014 and subsequently obtained FRACP in 2023.
