Amanda Landers graduated in 2000 with her MBChB from the University of Otago. She specialised in palliative care medicine and worked in the Canterbury community for ten years.
Amanda is currently a Senior Clinical Lecturer in the Department of Medicine and leads the Palliative and End of Life Care module.
She commenced a PhD in 2020 under the supervision of Professor Lutz Beckert, Professor Suzanne Pitama and Professor Suetonia Palmer, looking at a model of end-of-life care for people with COPD. The ultimate aim of the research is to uncover the main networks of care and how they can be strengthened for the patient and their family/whanau.
