Booking process

Step 1 – Contact us

Email simcentre.uoc@otago.ac.nz with your proposed dates and a brief description of your event or training requirements. If you are unsure which space best suits your needs, we are happy to discuss the available options.

Step 2 – Receive a quote

We will review your request and respond within 5 working days to confirm availability, discuss any requirements, and provide a quote where applicable.

Step 3 – Confirm your booking

Once your booking is confirmed, an authorised purchase order will be required. New users of the Simulation Centre will also be required to complete an induction prior to their booking

Charges

Hire charges are based on room type and duration of use.

Please note: The Simulation Centre will relocate to its new facility in Wai-Ora in mid-September 2026. Hire charges are currently under review and may be amended for bookings from 2027 onwards.

Please note: The University of Otago, Christchurch Simulation Centre will relocate to its new facility in Wai-Ora in September 2026. The Booking Guide has been developed to support advance planning and bookings for the new facility; however, some information may be subject to change as we complete the transition into the new space. Updated documentation will be published following the move.
