Overview
Engages students in critical reflection on their professional practice and prepares them for their thesis and research to practice portfolio research.
As part of your Doctor of Education study, you will work with a community of students and lecturers as you spend 12 months reflecting on your practice and preparing for the thesis stage of your doctorate. The paper involves studying from July through June.
Fees for EDDC 911 are required to be paid for each period of enrolment.

- During the year you will focus on a number of topics, including those relating to being a reflective and researching practitioner, theoretical perspectives and conceptual frameworks, reviewing literature, and a number of research methods and methodologies.
- Teaching Arrangements
This is a Distance Learning paper however students are required to attend an in-person residential seminar at the start of their first and second years of study.
- Textbooks
- Students will be expected to access required readings via the library and the Internet and source their own relevant readings.
