    Regulations for the Postgraduate Diploma in Surgical Anatomy (PGDipSurgAnat)

    1. Admission to the Programme

      1. Admission to the programme shall be subject to the approval of the Pro-Vice-Chancellor (Health Sciences).
      2. Every applicant must have been awarded the degrees of Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery of a university in New Zealand or have an equivalent medical qualification acceptable to the Pro-Vice-Chancellor (Health Sciences).

    2. Structure of the Programme

      The programme of study shall consist of four papers in Surgical Anatomy: SUAN 701, SUAN 702, SUAN 703, SUAN 704.

      Note: SUAN 701 must be completed before or concurrently with SUAN 702, and before SUAN 703 or SUAN 704.

    3. Duration of the Programme

      1. The duration of the programme shall normally be one academic year of full-time study.
      2. A full-time candidate will normally be expected to satisfy the requirements for the diploma within two years of admission to the programme.

    4. Level of Award of the Diploma

      The diploma may be awarded with distinction or with credit.

    5. Variations

      The Pro-Vice-Chancellor (Health Sciences) may in exceptional circumstances approve a course of study which does not comply with these regulations.
