Research

My research is focused on children with developmental dental defects particularly molar incisor hypomineralisation (MIH) and early carious lesions. My PhD project explored the impact of aesthetic management of hypomineralised anterior teeth affected by MIH on children's oral health-related quality of life (OHRQoL). I am involved in a multi-centred study evaluating the co-existing of other dental anomalies with MIH. I am supervising postgraduate students in the area of aesthetic management of early carious lesions and translation and validation of OHRQoL questionnaires to Malay language.

I have ongoing research collaborations with the University of Sheffield, UK and Universiti Teknologi MARA, Malaysia.
