Our residential colleges have spaces available for students starting in semester 2, 2024. We’re also committed to providing college accommodation until the end of 2025* (18 months) so you don’t miss out on the full experience.
*a return for 2025 should be discussed between the student/warden of the relevant college.
Applications for accommodation are open now and close 15 June 2024.
Late submissions may be considered.

Accommodation fees
Annual colleges' fees for 2024 range from $19,266 to $21,373. Fees for semester 2 only (18 weeks) are generally $9,126.
In most cases, an earlier move-in date can be arranged for an additional cost – priced at a weekly fee of $507.
How to apply
Apply through the 'Apply for managed accommodation section' in your eVision application portal. Take time to complete your application fully as any inaccuracies may cause delays in sending it to the residential colleges.
Accommodation options for students with disabilities
The University of Otago and its residential colleges are committed to providing provisions for students with a range of disabilities. Some of our colleges are particularly suited to students who use a wheelchair or have limited mobility.

Scholarship opportunity
Are you beginning your tertiary studies for the first time in semester 2? – you can apply for the Vice-Chancellor’s scholarship, ranging in value from $2,000 to ~$35,000. Selection of scholarship recipients will be at the discretion of the Vice-Chancellor.
Applications are open now and close on 15 June for semester 2 study.
Late submissions may be considered.
