In order to undertake a Master's research degree at the University of Otago, students must first be admitted to the programme. Because admission processes vary across the University depending on the requirements of the specific programme, prospective students should contact the department or programme that they wish to study in, as the administrators there will be able to provide specific information about the application process. International students can also contact the International Office using the international enquiries form.

Following admission, students must enrol using the University's Student Management System – eVision.
Enrolment involves:

  • Completion of the course enrolment via eVision
  • Payment of Tuition Fees

A candidate is required to be enrolled continuously for the entire period of the candidacy, up to the submission of the thesis, unless approval has been given for temporary withdrawal (known as a deferral).

Information on tuition fees can be found here.
