Research
I am an Associate Professor and Centre Co-ordinator for the Centre for Free Radical Research. My research speciality is the role of micronutrients in human health and disease. I have a background in biochemistry and basic biomedical research and now carry out translational ('bench-to-bedside') studies.Currently I am running human intervention studies investigating the bioavailability and health effects of vitamin C. I am particularly interested in the role of vitamin C in the prevention and treatment of acute and chronic diseases such as cancer and severe infection.
