Research

Tamara Glyn is a general and colorectal surgeon with a particular interest in inflammatory bowel disease and colorectal cancer. She completed a Bachelor of Science (Psychology) followed by a Postgraduate Diploma (Pharmacology) before undertaking medical training, graduating with an MB ChB from the University of Auckland in 2007. Tamara trained in general surgery in South Auckland, Palmerston North and Whangarei, being awarded her FRACS in 2014.

She completed the International Fellowship in Colon and Rectal Surgery at the Mayo Clinic (Rochester MN, USA) in 2015 and subsequently spent two further years as a CSSANZ fellow at St Vincent’s Hospital (Melbourne, Australia) and St James Teaching Hospital (Leeds, UK).
