Leilani graduated from the University of Otago with a law degree. She worked as a lawyer in New Zealand before taking on numerous years working as a lawyer in a range of areas in Samoa before moving to Dunedin in 2020.
Leilani now works in the administration team at the Va’a o Tautai as the Pacific Regional Coordinator and works to coordinate to work of the Va’a o Tautai with Pacific communities in New Zealand and in the Pacific Region.
Leilani is of Samoan, Tokelauan and Chinese descent.
