These new awards were established by the Trustees of the Maurice and Phyllis Paykel Trust to support a year of research for non-MBChB students. Up to three awards may be made in any one year. The current value of the award is $7,500 per student.
Applicants must be a NZ citizen or NZ permanent resident, and be accepted by the University of Otago as a candidate for the following degrees:
- BSc (Hons) in a health sciences discipline
- BBioMedSc (Hons)
- BDentTech (Hons)
- BDS (Hons)
- BRT (Hons)
- BPharm (Hons)
- BPhty (Hons)
Written applications outlining the topic of research to be undertaken, and a curriculum vitae must be received by the PVC by the specified closing date.
