A tide sensor has been installed at Portobello which gives current updates on the tide via a satellite connection.

Otago Harbour conditions
Sensors have been deployed at the Portobello Marine Laboratory to measure the sea temperature, salinity, chlorophyll-a concentration, pH and dissolved oxygen as well as water level.
