Professor Galland’s projects focus on sleep health in teenagers and preschoolers, with a more targeted approach following 30 years of experience in studying sleep health across all paediatric age groups and over 160 publications and numerous collaborations.
Her research interests and experience also include: the influence of sleep disturbances and sleep-related breathing disorders on children’s and adolescent’s behaviour, cognition, and academic performance; the role of sleep in overweight and obesity; sleep-related disturbances in children with type 1 diabetes and the biological mechanisms underlying Sudden Unexpected Death in Infancy (SUDI).
