The World Confederation for Physical Therapy (WCPT) represents and promotes the work of physiotherapists worldwide.

A number of staff at the School of Physiotherapy are engaged with the WCPT and similar national and international organisations to advance the quality and effectiveness of physiotherapy and physiotherapy education.

Our Dean Dr Leigh Hale, and Deputy Dean Dr Margot Skinner had key roles at the WCPT Congress in Geneva Switzerland in May this year.

International kinship fostered in the course of these initiatives delivers better understandings, adds new perspectives, and deepens insights. Such active collaborations help to inform ‘best practice’ and enhance the delivery of physiotherapy education in the Pacific region and beyond.

Leigh was a member of the Scientific Committee, and Margot completed her last formal event as Vice President of the WCPT Executive which managed the General Meeting and Congress.

Margot stepped down from her position as Vice President, WCPT at the recent Congress, after 12 years as a member of the Executive.
