About the Inter-College Competition 

2026 Competition Overview

The 2026 Inter-College Competition features 12 sport events, 8 cultural events, and 7 games events. Many of these events take place over multiple weeks. Participating or placing in each event contributes Podium Points to a college’s overall total in each competition.

The Inter-College Competition is grounded in the value of Whākawhānaukataka. We hope that through participation in the programme, students will create connections and a develop a sense of belonging to Otago. We aim to help students achieve a balanced first year experience and to interact not only with their own college but with the wider collegiate community.
