The Social and Community Work Programme holds on-campus compulsory workshops for each social work paper. These are held over a period of one to one-and-a-half days for each paper and are normally combined into blocks of time to consolidate the sessions you are required to attend.

For example, if you were undertaking two papers then the workshops would be held as close together as possible. These workshops are generally held at the beginning of each semester, although there has been some slight alteration in this depending on the stage of the learning. Information on each of the workshops is normally sent out in plenty of time to allow students to plan in advance. Students are required to book their own accommodation.

Semester 1 2024

Week nine: 26 February to 1 March – all 300-level and 500-level (MSCW (Applied) year one) students have a noho marae. 400-level and 500-level (MSCW Applied year two) students may attend if they wish.

We will be leaving on Monday 26 February at 11am from UNIPOL Cark Park, 130 Anzac Avenue, Dunedin if you can either offer or need a ride. Otherwise meet at the marae. Details will be finalised in the week of 22 January 2024.
