We have an experienced gender affirming care team at Student Health, our team is made up of GAC navigators, nurses and accredited GAC doctors. We can provide support and advice, and help you to access other services, including fertility advice, voice therapy, physiotherapy, surgical referral, and mental health and wellbeing.
We follow national and international best practice guidelines.
Availability and cost
Our services are available to any student who is currently enrolled at the University of Otago and based in Dunedin.
Charges may apply for your appointments – please enquire at reception.
How to make an appointment
If you would like to discuss hormone therapy or other aspects of gender affirming care, please contact our reception team who will arrange an appointment for you.
If you're already taking hormone medications, please make an appointment with any of our doctors for a repeat prescription.
