The Wellington region offers a variety of housing for students. Apartments are very popular and many students will flat together. A lease would normally operate from 1 February to 30 January.
The University of Otago does not have any residential colleges in Wellington, but there are student accommodation options run by Victoria and Massey universities that also accept applications from Otago students.
Victoria House (Victoria University)

Victoria House is a student hostel run by Te Herenga Waka Victoria University of Wellington, but it accepts applications from Otago students. It offers single and twin share rooms, and fees include meals, cleaning, electricity, heating, internet, laundry and water. The residential contract is for a 38 week period.

The Cube Hall (Massey University)
Location: 242 Taranaki St
The Cube Hall is part of the Massey Halls Wellington portfolio, offering accommodation for students of all tertiary providers in Wellington, and Massey senior students. It offers self-catered shared apartments and single-occupancy studio units. This hall has 24/7 support and dedicated on-site staff.
UniLodge Stafford House
Location: 40 The Terrace
UniLodge offers self-catered and fully furnished two- or three-bedroom apartments. All apartments include a shared living area, bathroom, and fully-equipped kitchen. There are also large common areas for all residents including a games room, lounge room, study areas, and a gym. The weekly rate includes Wi-Fi, electricity, gas, and water.
