Regulations for the Postgraduate Certificate in Civil Aviation Medicine (PGCertCAvMed)
Admission to the Programme
- Admission to the programme shall be subject to the approval of the Pro-Vice-Chancellor (Health Sciences).
- Every applicant must have been awarded the degrees of Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery of a university in New Zealand or have an equivalent medical qualification acceptable to the Pro-Vice-Chancellor (Health Sciences).
Structure of the Programme
The programme shall consist of two papers in Civil Aviation Medicine, AVME 711, and AVME 714.
Duration of the Programme
- The duration of the programme shall be equivalent to half an academic year of full-time study or the equivalent in part-time study.
- Every candidate must obtain terms before being admitted to examinations.
- A candidate shall satisfy the requirements for the postgraduate certificate within four years of admission to the programme.
Variations
The Pro-Vice-Chancellor (Health Sciences) may in exceptional circumstances approve a course of study which does not comply with these regulations.
