Welcome to Human Nutrition at Otago!
Human Nutrition has been taught at Otago University for almost a century. It is the largest university department involved in this discipline in Australasia and one of the best known in the Southern Hemisphere.
The Department of Human Nutrition was the first to form a university-based Dietetic Programme, and has been responsible for training dietitians since 1993.
Our Human Nutrition and Dietetic graduates are found in leading roles in New Zealand and Australia as well as interesting positions throughout the world.
Our courses continue to receive exceptionally high ratings from the associated industries we touch and we aim to ensure that all students receive the quality education for which Otago is famous.
