Centre for Educational Leadership and Administration (CELA)

The aim of the Centre for Educational Leadership and Administration (CELA) is to engage in:

• High quality research and teaching
• Personal and professional development that will mutually benefit the broader educational community in New Zealand and internationally

The centre will particularly aim to support the learning of leaders, middle managers and aspiring leaders at:

• Early childhood centres
• Primary schools
• Secondary schools
• Tertiary institutions

CELA’s activities are informed by:

• Sound theoretical and practical understandings of educational leadership
• Current research findings in the field of personal and professional leadership education
• Developing relationships with client groups that promote close collaboration and trust
