At the Faculty of Dentistry, we undertake over 60,000 patient treatments each year! Our building is one of the very busiest on campus, and is soon to be refurbished with the addition of a new Clinical Services Block.
All services are open to the public. We couldn't be here without you.
We offer a comprehensive suite of dental services to the community—everything from routine check-ups, to the most complex treatment. Here you'll be seen by one of our teaching staff or by a trained student; in each case you'll benefit from high-quality dental care using the latest evidence-based-practice techniques.
Please visit our new patients page to get started.
We have nine specialist clinics at the Faculty of Dentistry:
- Admissions and Urgent Care Clinic (UCU) (this is usually your first stop after checking in at reception on the ground floor)
- Community Oral Health Clinic
- Hospital Dentistry Clinic
- Māori Dental Health Clinic
- Oral Surgery Clinic
- Orthodontic Clinic
- Postgraduate and Staff Clinics
- Special Care Clinic
- Undergraduate Clinics
In most cases, after enrolling as a new patient you'll be assessed at the Admissions and Urgent Care Clinic (UCU). If you need specialised treatment, we'll arrange an appropriate referral to one of our teaching clinics. In some situations, if we are not able to meet your ongoing needs within a reasonable timeframe, we may recommend that your care is managed by a private clinic.
