Research

Medical anthropology with a focus on psychotropic drug use as a cultural practice, public health, rural health, harm reduction and drug policy.

Current projects include:

  • Exploring the psychosocial impact of the zoonotic disease incursion Mycoplasma bovis on farming communities in Southern New Zealand
  • Enhancement of harm reduction services, strategies for people who inject drugs in Te Waipounamu / South Island NZ
