MB ChB students are encouraged to apply for Health Sciences summer research scholarships, between 100-200 of which are hosted each year by departments across the Christchurch, Dunedin, and Wellington campuses.
The Health Sciences summer research scholarship involves a student completing a research project over the summer break in an area of interest, such as clinical or laboratory-based research, biomedical science, ethics, public health, or medical education. The student receives a stipiend as well as gaining valuable research experience. The Health Sciences divisional research page is the access point for all summer studentship applications.
