OGHI annual conference and McAuley Oration
The OGHI annual conference is an interdisciplinary meeting which takes place in November on the University of Otago’s Dunedin campus. The McAuley Oration, a public lecture, is held during the conference and livestreamed.
The next OGHI annual conference will take place on 24–25 November 2026.
The theme will be ‘Information, Misinformation, and Global Health’.

OGHI Leadership Group member honoured for teaching excellence
Associate Professor Esther Willing has received a University of Otago Teaching Excellence Award, for her constant work to create 'safe learning spaces for tauira to understand and challenge the way in which colonisation has shaped health inequities to improve Māori health outcomes'.
