Overview
Continence Management is available as an endorsement for the Postgraduate Certificate in Health Sciences (PGCertHealSc).
This distance learning programme, offered through the University of Otago, Christchurch, runs sequentially in the first and second semesters. It is aimed at nurses, physiotherapists and those doctors wishing to improve their understanding of continence problems and how they can best be alleviated.
Teaching is via two four-day block courses in Christchurch for each of the two papers, plus occasional audioconferences. Assessment is by assignments and performance at the block courses.
Papers in continence management can be put together with others as part of the requirements for the Postgraduate Diploma in Health Sciences (PGDipHealSc) or the Master of Health Sciences (MHealSc) degree.
