Research

As an experienced health researcher, registered nurse and Senior Lecturer, Mandy is privileged to be able to partner with people with life-long conditions, their families/whānau, and their communities, to foster ways for people to access support, enhance neighbourhood connections, be physically active and improve their health and well-being.

Mandy also works together with healthcare professionals and other healthcare workers exploring the ‘how to’ of supporting self-management by people with life-long conditions, and in creating positive healthcare service delivery.

Mandy enjoys the research process and has experience in qualitative, quantitative and mixed methods research, writing for publication, and for grants.

Mandy is currently working with postgraduate nursing students on their research projects, dissertations and theses and is exploring innovative ways for teaching core concepts of nursing and research.
