Graham Redding trained as an Accountant in Auckland before studying Theology at Otago and serving as a Minister in the Presbyterian Church of Aotearoa for 15 years. Graham served as national Moderator of the Presbyterian Church in 2008 and 2009. After completing a PhD in Theology at King's College, London, on prayer and the priesthood of Christ, Graham was appointed Principal of the Knox Centre for Ministry of Leadership in Dunedin, a position he held until 2015, when he was appointed Master (Head) of Knox College, a residential college affiliated to the University of Otago. In 2021, Graham left Knox College to take up a newly created lectureship in Chaplaincy Studies at the University of Otago.
Graham's PhD Thesis was published as a book in 2003 (T&T Clark) under the title, “Prayer and the Priesthood of Christ in the Reformed Tradition”.
