Though frequently confused, i.e. and e.g. have different meanings. E.g. is an abbreviation meaning for example, while i.e. is an abbreviation meaning that is or in other words.

  • There are plenty of study spaces available on the Dunedin campus (e.g. Marsh Study Centre, Central Library, the Link, etc.)
  • The paper begins with basic pharmacological principles dealing with how drugs act (i.e.pharmacodynamics) and what the body does to the drug (i.e. pharmacokinetics).
