Full stops are used at the end of sentences and after the last item in a list of bullet points which form a complete sentence with preceding text. Insert only one space after a full stop.

Do not use full stops in:

  • most abbreviations/acronyms (exceptions: e.g. and i.e.)
  • initials
  • at the end of sentences ending with either a web or email address.
