The correct names of the various schools within Otago are:

  • Otago Medical School
  • School of Biomedical Sciences
  • School of Pharmacy
  • School of Physiotherapy

The correct names of the various faculties within Otago are:

  • Faculty of Dentistry (not School of Dentistry)
  • Faculty of Law

Otago Medical School comprises three campuses:

  • Otago Medical School – Dunedin Campus
  • University of Otago, Christchurch
  • University of Otago, Wellington

The School of Biomedical Sciences was previously part of Otago Medical School, but as is now a standalone school in its own right.

Names no longer in use

  • Dunedin School of Medicine – This is now Otago Medical School – Dunedin Campus
  • Faculty of Medicine – This is now Otago Medical School
  • Otago School of Medical Sciences – This is now School of Biomedical Sciences
