Our major teaching responsibility is the clinical course undertaken by Dunedin-based medical students in years four, five, and six. This clinical course is known as Advanced Learning in Medicine (ALM).

We also have some involvement with the pre-clinical Early Learning in Medicine (ELM) course, which teaches students in years two and three. Admission to ELM is determined by the Admissions Committee, and is most commonly gained through a competitive first year course, Health Sciences First Year (HSFY).
