Research saves lives, improves health, and is the foundation of clinical practice. The Faculty of Medicine (FoM) has a strong research tradition, and many of its researchers are international leaders in their areas.
Much of our clinical research is conducted in a partnership between Te Whatu Ora Southern and FoM. Health Research South (HRS) promotes, monitors, and approves the arrangements for undertaking research within this partnership.
