2026 Symposium
Date: Wednesday 16 and Thursday 17 September 2026
Venue: Hutton Theatre, Tūtura Otago Museum and online via livestream
We welcome all with an interested in cutting-edge dental and oral health research and clinical practice – dental professionals, practitioners, biomedical researchers, the dental industry, research funders and research users – to join us for our fourth annual Clinical and Research Excellence Symposium, highlighting the clinical excellence and research achievements of the University of Otago's Faculty of Dentistry.
Our meeting will feature keynote presentations from leading international researchers and clinicians, and presentations from our staff and students exploring clinical cases and research projects.
This meeting offers in-person attendance and online participation via livestream, enabling participants to watch live and contribute questions for the presenters. CPD points will be available for all sessions of the meeting.
Registrations will open in July. Registration is free for in-person attendance, supported by our generous sponsors, and is required for catering purposes. A small fee is associated with registration for online attendance, to enable access to livestream.
The full Programme and Abstract Book, including biographies of our invited keynote speakers, will be released the week of the event.
