Research Office

This is a shared facility funded by the University of Otago, Christchurch and the Canterbury District Health Board (CDHB). It provides open access service for anyone involved in health research working within these organisations.  The Research Manager, Research Manager-Maori, Research Advisors and Research Administrators are available to provide advice on all aspects of the conduct of research in Canterbury.

For staff of both institutions, it is compulsory to submit grant applications through the Research Office.

For CDHB staff:  register your CDHB research project
It is a requirement that all research conducted within Canterbury DHB be registered with the CDHB Research Office. By registering your project early on we can assist you with advice and guidance relating to design, contracts, funding, ethics approval etc.  After you have completed and submitted the registration form you will be contacted by the CDHB Research Advisor or Administrator.

The Research Office also provides the following information;
