Applications for Hands-On at Otago 2027 open Monday 29 June 2026.
Applications close on Thursday 6 August 2026.
Scholarships
To apply for a scholarship, you will need to complete the scholarship section at the end of the general Hands-On application, before the application closing date.

Selection process
To maintain the high quality of the Hands-On at Otago experience, numbers are restricted. Priority is given to senior students. Students who have previously attended the programme will not be considered.
Notification
You will receive an email by the end of September confirming whether you have been accepted into the programme and if you have been offered a scholarship or award.
Payment
Payment must be made by Friday 16 October 2026 to confirm your place on the programme. Receipts are not issued unless requested.
Cancellation
You may cancel before 30 November 2026 and we will refund 100% of your fee. If your cancellation is received between 30 November 2026 and 1 January 2026, a 50% refund of your fee will be made. After 1 January 2027 there will be no refunds.
Legal stuff
The University of Otago reserves the right to alter components of the programme, to cancel or terminate the programme, or to reject an application for enrolment.
