Applications are now open.
A non-digital version of the application form can be supplied on request by contacting email@example.com.
The closing date for applications is Thursday 8 September 2022. There are always more applications than there are places available, and late applications will not be considered.
Make sure you fully complete the application form including any required supporting information.
Please consider your personal statement carefully.
To maintain the high quality of the “Hands-On at Otago” experience, numbers are restricted.
Priority is given to senior students and to students who have not previously attended the programme.
All scholarships require completion of the scholarship application online. There is an option for scholarship application at the end of your general application.
A letter will be sent to all students by mid to late November advising of acceptance into the programme as well as their allocated project.
Payment must be made within 4 weeks to confirm your place. Receipts are not issued unless requested.
Why didn’t I get the project I wanted?
Unfortunately, each project has a limited number of places. We will try our best to place you into the project you select but if that's not possible, we will work very hard to find space in a project that is closely related to the ones you have chosen. We do try very hard to place everyone satisfactorily!
If you do not like your allocated project you can cancel your place in the programme. You will need to do this before Friday 2 December 2022.
If your cancellation is received between 4 December 2022 and 1 January 2023, a 50 per cent fee refund will be made. After 1 January 2023 there will be no refunds.
The University of Otago reserves the right to alter components of the programme, to cancel or terminate the programme, or to reject an application for enrolment.
