1 Choose your major subject from the list below

This may seem like a big commitment, but you can easily change it later.

2 You'll be taken to a detailed subject page

On that page, you'll see what qualifications are available for your subject.

Choose one of the bachelors' degrees and hit 'Apply'.

You might see some other qualifications listed, but if this will be your first university qualification, then a bachelor's degree is probably the right choice. If you have any questions, contact AskOtago.

3 This will take you to eVision

eVision is your personalised application portal.

Follow the on-screen instructions to create your eVision account and complete your application.

Already have an eVision account? Resume your application.

If you already have a degree, you may be more interested in our postgraduate qualifications.
If you are an international student, your application process is different. Please see our international website.

1 Archaeology is a specialisation within the Anthropology major. If you wish to specialise in Archaeology, you will need to major in Anthropology.
2 You can take a first year at Otago to satisfy the Intermediate Year for the University of Canterbury's Bachelor of Engineering. It is treated like a major subject for enrolment purposes.
3 Health Sciences First Year (HSFY) is treated like a major subject for enrolment purposes, however you cannot complete a three-year Bachelor of Science majoring in HSFY. Instead, after completing your first year, you can transfer to a different major subject for second year and beyond. For example, after HSFY, you might enter second-year Anatomy or Biochemistry or Medicine.
